Championships

The 10th SGDF
Singapore Nationals DanceSport Championships will be held on Sunday 24
January 2010. This is the sixth
successive Nationals that is being organised with a major Tertiary
Institution, and it will again be jointly organised with Nanyang
Technological University.
This event will be held together with
the 3rd Nanyang Technological University Tertiary DanceSport
Championships.
Tickets are available from the SGDF and
dance studios at S$25, inclusive of a buffet dinner meal.

WDC
AMATEUR LEAGUE OPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - PARIS
The 2009 WDC Amateur
League Open Amateur World Championships scheduled to be held at Paris,
Euro Disney, France on December 4-6, 2009, is not granted by IDSF and is
not registered by the IDSF Member for France, Comite National de Danse
Sportive (CNDS). Accordingly the IDSF Presidium may take action against
any athlete, adjudicator or other official, person or body associated with
IDSF or an IDSF Member, who participates in this competition in any way,
without any further notice to any of them.

SGDF TO SUPPORT NTU DSA'S DECEMBER DANCE
CAMP
The SGDF is pleased to announce that the 3-day NTU DSA Dance Camp will be
supported by the SGDF. Seminars & workshops will be conducted by SGDF, and a closed-competition will
be organised as part of the dance camp where SGDF will provide qualified
judges and the standard IDSF Scrutineering programme for the calculation
of scores.

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) DanceSport Academy (DSA) is
organising a Latin-American workshop with 2008 IDSF World Latin Champions, Stefano Di Filippo & Olga
Urumuva on Saturday 21 Nov 2009 for their club members only. For

2009 APEC SUMMIT DANCESPORT PERFORMANCE

Athletes from
the SGDF were invited perform the Opening Dance Show for the 2009 APEC
Meetings to be held in Singapore in November.
The performance was held at the Capella
Singapore Hotel (Sentosa Island), and were well-accepted by
the largely international audience

1st KULAI OPEN DANCESPORT CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 1st Kulai
Open DanceSport Championships will be held in Kulai, Malaysia on
Sunday 13 December 2009.
This event is sanctioned by the Malaysian Professional DanceSport
Council (MPDC), a member of the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF).
The event will feature Stefano Ceccarelli & Debora Papi (Italy), the
2009 Coppa Italia Amateur Latin Champions and FIDS Lazio Regional
Championships Amateur Latin Champions.
Members are strongly encouraged to participate. Events |

featured are Grade C, Grade D, Grade E, Master & Juvenile in Latin &
Standard. All entries must be
submitted to the organisers through the SGDF.

3rd ASIAN INDOOR GAMES

The 3rd Asian
Indoor Games will be held in Vietnam from 30 Oct 09 - 8 Nov 09. This
is the third and final Asian Indoor Games before merging with the
Asian Martial Arts Games.
The SGDF is proud to announce that the Singapore Sports Council (SSC)
have selected Ms May Ng (Team Manager), Mr Kelvin Toh & Ms Tiara Zhang
(Standard), and Mr Sng Li Wei and Ms Tan Wei Jing (Latin) to form Team

2009, at the Singapore Expo Conference Halls A-F.
Featuring the 2009 IDSF Asia-Pacific
DanceSport Championships, the IDSF Open DanceSport (World-Ranking)
Championships, and several other events, this Championship will surely
be an event not to be missed.

14 March 2009, and it will be held at the Hougang Community Club.
